Tricia Price, PhD, AFBPsS, CPsychol is a Chartered Health Psychologist and Director of Wound Healing Research Unit in Cardiff at the University of Wales College of Medicine. After completing her initial degree in Psychology and Education with a First Class award, Tricia won an SSRC scholarship to study for a Ph.D. at the University of Wales College Cardiff. Her interests in wound care started in 1993, following her work in the psychometric testing of psychological characteristics and health-related quality of life. Her interests are wide-ranging but focus on health services research and non-medical outcomes, including quality of life and health economics. This work fits within an emphasis in health care on evidence based practice. She is an external professor at University of Glamorgan. Tricia has been involved in higher education for 19 years, and is currently responsible for several of the modules on the Post-graduate diploma/ MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair at the UWCM, as well as being member of Faculty for IWCC. She is also reponsible for all students who convert to the Masters Route and Project-coordinator for the course based at Cardiff. Together will other members of the Wound Healing Research Unit, she is on the Course Planning Team and the Course Committee for the Masters award.
