Heather L. Orsted RN, BN, ET is a Clinical Specialist for Skin and Wound Management with Calgary Health Region, where she works with interdisciplinary teams in both Home Care and Long Term Care Centers to set a standard of excellence in skin and wound management. She is currently the President for the Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC) and is also a Co-Director for the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC) offered at the University of Toronto. Heather co-developed and co-edited Best Practice articles relating to wound bed preparation, pressure, venous and diabetic ulcer management. Heather is currently completing her Masters of Science in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair, University of Wales, College of Medicine.
