In 1974, Professr Sibbald, BS, MD,FRCPC (Med), FRCPC (Derm) received his Medical Degree from the University of Toronto. Since 1979, he has been a staff member of the Toronto General Hospital. In 1982, he became Active Staff Memeber for both the Women's College Hospital and Mississauga General Hopsital. A specialist in Internal Medicine and Dermatology, Professor Sibbald was a Founding Board\ Member of the Association for Advancement of Wound Care in the U.S., and Co-founder and Chairman of the Canadian Association of Wound Care. His dermatology expertise led to his roles as Advisory Council Executive member of Canada for the American Academy of Dermatology, and a previous President of the Toronto Dermatological Association. Professor Sibbald is the Director of Continuing Medical Education for the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, where he is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine. Presently, Dr. Sibbald is the Director of Dermatology Day Care and Wound Healing Clinic at the Women's College Hospital. Dr. Sibbald, is Director of the Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course at the University of Toronto and co-editor of the third edition of Chronic Wound Care: A Clinical Source Book for Healthcare Professionals. |
