Dr. Kyoichi Matsuzaki, MD, PhD obtained his MD from Chiba University in 1989. Trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Marianna University School of Medicine, becoming a board certified plastic surgeon in 1998.
He has treated various types of wounds, with significant experience in the areas of microsurgical technique and tissue engineered products, being extensively involved in research activities in the area of wound healing.
Dr Matsuzaki received his PhD from St. Marianna University School of Medicine in 1995. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 1995-1997, where he studied the proliferation and differentiation of keratinocytes under Professor Howard Green, a pioneer in this area.
Presently, he is Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Marianna University School of Medicine and a committee member of Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
